Theatre Cedar Rapids, one of the region’s largest and longest-operating nonprofit community theaters, seeks a Marketing Specialist to execute marketing programs promoting all aspects of the organization. Core functions include brand & ticket sale strategy, content & collateral creation, and media relations. The primary goal of this position is to maximize attendance and sales while also playing a role in other public relations activities in the company.
Activities include marketing plan execution, graphic design, copywriting, social media, advertising placement, website administration, audience surveys & market research. This is a full-time position reporting to the Public Relations Director and will work as part of the Public Relations Team.
Qualified applicants should possess the following experience and background: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field and a minimum of 2 years direct experience in advertising, marketing, graphic design and/or copywriting. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. CRM, photo/video editing, html fluency, and/or event planning experience a plus, but not required. Requires the ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends as the position requires
